MAR DEL PLATA (FIBA Americas League) - Libertad Sunchales will be in group D of the FIBA Americas League to be played from January 8-10 in Mar Del Plata. Libertad won the 2007 Liga Sudamericana and the Super 8 of the Argentinean National League.

Libertad starts the tournament against the Brazilian champion Universo/BRB and then plays Penarol Mar Del Plata and Liceo Mixto (Chile).

The two best per group pass to the quarterfinals where the best in the group D faces Defensor Sporting and the second place team takes on Minas Tenis, winner of group C.
